Giorgio Gerratana

Giorgio began his maritime career in 1981 as a deck cadet on oil tankers, spending the majority of his early service with the oil major Chevron. He remained with Chevron until 2000, completing his final assignment aboard the lightering vessel Charles B. Renfrew.

Following his tenure with Chevron, he joined Teekay Corporation, where he served as Captain until March 2006.

In April 2006, Giorgio transitioned to SPT (Skaugen Petrotrans) as a Mooring Master through a joint venture with Teekay Corporation. In this role, he operated across the United States, the Mediterranean, and Northern Europe.

Giorgio developed significant specialist expertise in Germany, particularly in Lubmin, where he conducted complex operations involving the mooring of two large LNG vessels at anchor with tugboat assistance.
