Ionut Daniel Perianu

Daniel joined STS Marine Solutions in 2019 after nine years of seagoing experience aboard LNG and LPG carriers, where he advanced to the role of Chief Officer. He holds a Master Mariner Unlimited Certificate of Competency and a Master’s degree in Maritime Transportation, along with a dual Bachelor’s degree in Nautical Operations and Electrical Engineering.

Since joining STSMS, Daniel has played a key role in over 100 LNG Ship-to-Ship (STS) transfer operations, including commissioning cargoes, gas-up, cool-down, and terminal activities. His expertise spans LNG STS operations, FSRU commissioning, and terminal management, supporting both temporary and permanent LNG infrastructure.

Daniel has contributed to numerous LNG projects worldwide, including Arctic transhipment, U.S. operations, and Myanmar breakbulk, as well as LNG terminals and FSRU projects in the Philippines, Lubmin, Brunsbüttel, and the Jordan LNG Terminal.
